Yin and Sound

Full Price: £40

Our monthly Full Moon Yin and Sound sessions are the perfect way to unravel, to relax & unwind. Yin Yoga and Sound Healing are two different class types that we have combined into one blissful experience.

The Cold Full Moon

The Cold Moon is also known as the Longest Night Moon.

So named by the Mohican people, the full moon rises close to the day of the winter solstice, usually around Dec. 21, referring to the longest night of the year. The solstice occurs on the shortest day of the year.

What is Yin and Sound?

In the first part of the class you’ll be guided by Dee into deep Yin stretches to increase flexibility and mobility whilst training the mind and body to surrender to the present moment.

During the sound healing experience with Amy, she’ll aim to relax the mind and body using a variety of instruments such as crystal singing bowls, brass bowls, gongs and chimes.

Benefits of practising Yin yoga

  • Increases circulation and revitalises the tissues of the body
  • Reduces stress and anxiety
  • Improves flexibility and joint mobility
  • Develops a mindfulness and meditation practice

Benefits of sound healing

  • Lowers heart rate and blood pressure
  • Encourages deep relaxation which aids in meditation
  • Awakens, aligns and balances energy in the body
  • Synchronises brain waves to restore the normal vibratory frequencies of cells

Sound healing and Yin yoga complement each other by invoking the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress and helping the body to find peace, calm and presence.

Everyone welcome, no experience required. Bring warm clothes and a blanket.
