Rope Yoga
Move differently. Feel supported. Discover more space.
Rope yoga classes on the Isle of Man
Most people have never tried Rope yoga before – and that's exactly what makes it so exciting.
Using a specially designed rope wall, Rope yoga helps you move with greater ease, improve mobility and explore yoga in a completely different way. The ropes provide support, stability and gentle traction, allowing you to access postures that might otherwise feel difficult.
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced yogi, Rope yoga offers a fun, playful and surprisingly accessible practice.

What is Rope yoga?
Rope yoga is a unique style of yoga that uses a specially designed rope wall to support your practice. The ropes allow you to explore movement in a completely different way, helping you find greater ease, stability and space in the body.
Rather than making yoga harder, the ropes often make it easier. They provide support where you need it, allowing you to stay in postures for longer, experience gentle traction through the spine and joints, and discover movement that can be difficult to find on the mat alone.
At SPACE, we follow a functional approach, recognising that every body is different. Rather than trying to achieve a perfect-looking pose, we use the ropes to help you find the variation that feels right for your unique body. This makes the practice accessible, comfortable and beneficial for beginners and experienced yogis alike.
Don't let the name put you off – this isn't circus or aerial yoga! You won't be climbing ropes or performing acrobatics. Most of the practice takes place with your feet firmly on the floor, using the ropes as a supportive tool to improve mobility, build strength and help you move with greater confidence and ease.
SPACE is home to the Isle of Man's only yoga rope wall, making this a truly unique class that you won't find anywhere else on the island.

No! Despite the name, Rope yoga isn't aerial yoga or circus yoga. Most of the practice takes place with your feet firmly on the floor, using the ropes for support, balance and gentle traction. There may be opportunities to explore more adventurous variations as your confidence grows, but these are always optional.
Yes. The rope wall is designed specifically for yoga and provides a secure, supportive way to explore movement. Dee will demonstrate how to use the ropes and offer variations to suit your body and experience.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. We recommend leggings or joggers and a fitted top, as very loose clothing can get caught on the ropes.
That's absolutely fine. The ropes are there to support you, making many postures more accessible rather than more difficult. Rope yoga is a wonderful way to gradually build strength, improve mobility and gain confidence in your body.
